So i Tried Using DARK, 8-Free, Non-Toxic Nail Polish 🧐 Praying for No-Staining πŸ™πŸ½

🎶 She likes what she likes and she could put it all on you baby if you ’bout that life ’bout that life because you don’t got time to choose yeah
yeah 🎶 Hey Tribe it’s Kia from Hairitage93 And I’m back with the latest for the nail
care series. Ya’ll know I’m here for better nail care
practices and I’m really excited to share my honest
thoughts while reviewing a product that is not 5, not six, but 8-Free. I’m really excited to see innovations in
the nail care industry 🤩 So I wanted to give this video a thorough
unpacking, hence why there’s over 10 minutes of talk time 🥰 Now I’ll be swatching and sharing my first
impressions of the Liquid Glass Lacquer in the Dark Palette from a relatively newer brand called Static
Nails And for the heads up, this video is not sponsored,
I came 🚶🏽‍♀️, I saw 👀, I snagged 🛍, and now, I’m sharing my thoughts,
of course, for the nail care culture 💅🏽 In addition to the palette, I went ahead and
got an extra nail primer. There’s one included in the set but wanted
to grab a second just case I had stumbled across something special ✨ Also, the words “primer” “palette”
are usually found in the beauty side of the industry, so for this to be polish brand, it’s definitely
cool to see this fusion from a branding perspective 👏🏽 Now this palette makes a lot of claims including
3x Longer wear, rich pigments and non-toxic ingredients that promote a healthy manicure And for maximum wear, they’ve included clear
step by step instructions. This product retails for $45 💸and at first
glance, the packaging is very simple and clean with 10, 8ml bottles. What initially drew me to this one was the
tiny size meaning less waste, the arrangement of the color selection. Plus, that 8-Free formula 😍 I don’t have any chronic problems with nail
chipping 😅 but, we’ll be testing that too Now to start things off, I’m going to try
on the nail primer for shine and protection The Girls have been prospering brightness
wise and I definitely want to keep that going 🙏🏽 I’m not gonna lie, this bottle was so tiny. Which has more pros than cons in my opinion,
less waste, less commitment, super-travel friendly, that kind of stuff But as a downside, the brush does take it’s
share of the product, before the very first application 😔 At that point, I just looked at this more
as a sampler or trial size than something that was meant to last 🤷🏽‍♀️ Now onto the application πŸ™‚ It goes on clear, smooth and satisfying, my
big thing here is how does this do against staining, y’all saw those colors 😅 So
many times we hear about base coats being the preventative measure against staining
but 🙄 it isn’t always the case and it’s sad but we shall see. So far so shiny 🤩 so I’ll repeat on the
other hand. Okay so we have one coat down and it could
be enough, but the Girls need a little more so I gonna go back in once more with a second
coat of primer just to be safe because safety first right? I highly recommend letting the first coat
dry before applying the second, but this formula had pretty fast dry time so that waiting around
wasn’t much of an issue Now, you see the Girls are pretty long and
I used two coats of clear right? Notice how much primer is left. I’d say for shorter nails you might get
a good 5 to 8 uses out of this primer, but that also depends of whether you apply one
coat or two Not bad for a smaller bottle size Now that the Girls are gleaming and shining
with the Primer set on the top and undersides It is time to get into these super pigmented
polishes from the set First we have a deep red called Cherry Bomber A pinker wine colored shade calledScarlet
that has caught my eye for really good and some not-so-good reasons A deep purple shade called Arsenic A rich blue shade called Conundrum A super forest green shade called Wicked A black, appropriately called Dark Room And lastly the white, called Elixir Now let’s paint. Starting things off with Cherry Bomber, very
pigmented yet a more passive red Next up was actually a bit of a let-down,
just because she was my favorite, Scarlet. I was definitely disappointed not gonna lie. 😔The bottles are already small but it seems
like this one snuck past quality control 🧐Now is it the end of the world, no not really. But its pretty unfortunate especiallyfor a
first impression Meanwhile Arsenic is ready to rock and roll
in the deep With Conundrum is more or less like the color
navy’s slightly more intense sister. Now that these four are done with the first
coat, I’ll paint my thumb with Wicked just off
camera Now as for the other hand I’ll use the colors
I haven’t swatched just yet first Starting with Elixir ⚪️Now white polish
is always interesting work with for me because it can be really good and solid and smooth
or really bad, and gunky and streaky But this one looks very good And then the Girls are bracing themselves
for the pigment, with the next up shade being Dark Room which I must say is a pretty good
shade of black on the first coat. Now I’ll just repeat a few colors I swatched
earlier on the other hand Now overall, I like these polishes but you
might notice that I keep bumping the brush up against my cuticles. It happened pretty
much every time on this hand 😕 It’s the sharp triangular shape of the brush
that helps make that happen, especially when the bottom of your nail is round like mine. It’s
a little thing, but it just goes to show how the shape of the brush can affect your nail
painting experience Overall, one coat was really pigmented and
the second coating really sealed the deal. I love that it only took two coats just like
the directions said and what I see on my nails looks like what I see on the bottles in the
packaging. That’s pretty nice πŸ™‚ But of course, we’re not done just yet. I gotta follow this mani with the top coat
that, of course, comes with this kit And I’m applying it to all five of my fingers
on this hand It seems very straight forward just like any
other polish application I’ve done thus far, maybe a little thicker than the primer
but it’s top coat. No big deal, we’re almost done right? Well I noticed that when it started to dry,it
didn’t do what I thought it would do and til this day,I still don’t know why this
happened. I was legitimately waiting for something to
change, but it didn’t 🙁 The bottom was glossy and the top was matte
and I’ve never seen anything like that 😅 This definitely left me flustered and honestly
confused. But if my nails were shorter I probably wouldn’t be experiencing this at all. But the Girls shouldn’t have to suffer 😞 On the other hand, I’m using the Mattifier to put the matte
finish on the other hand, which didn’t give me any problems at all. Very simple, very straight forward, very matte
✨ Now back to this hand now that it’s dry, I was still in denial so what did I do?I applied
another coat of the top coat to all 5 nails And this time I wanted to see what these nails
would do ✨time-lapsed style✨ Yeah that top coat is still giving the Girls
a Foggy finish and it’s the strangest thing And again, if my nails were shorter,I probably
wouldn’t even know that this happened 🤷🏽‍♀️ The only one unaffected was thumbnail, she’s
just chilling 💅🏽 Okay so at this point we have “not quite”
and “yes, please” So I’ll try out another top coat that I
have from an indie brandI’ve mentioned a few times before Cose Belle To see if this one can shine the Girls back
up And after one coat of application, the Girls
are as good as new. So overall there it is, the full swatch and
both finishes. But I wasn’t done, I wanted to see what
the long time wear was giving. About 12 days later,I was impressed, the color
was still intact just a few scratches and still a lot of gloss Again, my nails don’t typically chip and
peel after a few days, but this still looks really good for two weeks of wear 😍 As for my dominant hand, the polish still
held up really well and wore down evenly along the free edge, which I can understand. And as for that white, she may have wanted
to crack and breakdown, but she didn’t chip. So yeah after twelve days of wear, this is
what it is. Now that I was ready to remove the polish, Ya’ll know I was reaching for that Soy Nail
Polish Remover. And I was nervous, not gonna lie because yellow nails ain’t it But I was pleasantly surprised to see that
there was no staining. The Girls were just as bright as they were a few weeks back. So what do I think? The pros: there’s a little bit of everything in the
kit,it’s definitely a good introduction to the brand to try a bunch of color options
at once, instead of having to commit to a full size. The color is very presentand it takes two
coats to get full coverage but there was no staining, which was very impressive There super compact, which makes it more likely
that you’ll use all of the product, especially if you like it The cons? That scarlet was not ready to play today and
with smaller sizes like this, lapses like that just can’t happen And the top coat was the weakest link for
me formula wise.I’ve never seen that and I wasn’t ready to make that make sense 🙃 I didn’t mention this earlier, but the bottles
do easily topple. I think this palette would be good forthe
nail lovers looking to experiment with darker, vampy colors And would also make a really nice gift or
a treat to yourself Overall for a first impression, I give this
palette a strong 8.5 out of 10 It does what it says it does and does it well,
but those two unexplainable lapses didn’t make me feel too good about giving it a higher
score. What did you think about this review?Do you
have a favorite color from this palette?Would you give this 8-Free option a try? Let me know in the comments! So yes, I hope you Girls enjoyed this Liquid
Glass Lacquer type swatch and learn session and found it helpful and informative if you
needed to see a full and honest review of this product ✨ As always, thank you so much for watching,
take care, and Happy Nail Growing,I will see you soon in the next one πŸ™‚

The top coat got foggy becuase the heat from ur nails dont reach to that part of ur nail if u see the thumb nail since it rolls in the heat transfres from ur hand and bounces off to ur nail and it top coat will stay glossy all the way but if u wash ur hands with luke water it will disappear the foggynes

  18. Malissa H says:

That's way too much $$ for that! I like to change my polish at least 2ce weekly and this would be a NOOOOO for me! Nothing special about the colors either! I can go to the Dollar Store and get these colors for almost nothing…

Appreciate the review of new products though! It's interesting to see what's out there that you never knew existed!

  19. Linda Major says:

My nails are not nearly as long as yours, but I have found mostly in the summer time that my nails will get foggy on the ends just like that. It drives me crazy. And I use the same top coat all the time, and it'll only get the foggy this in the summertime. I don't know if it's humidity or my nails being cold or what the situation is. So you're not the only one that has that problem there's more of us out there.

  20. omg I love you says:

  29. Mermaid Rhonda says:

For that kind of money I better get more than a few drops of polish and a faulty top coat! Nice colors, but easily found in other less expensive brands. The bottle shape is pretty cool. though.

  30. Amanda Cox says:

Thanks so much for the review! Definitely enjoyed it!

These are beautiful deeply pigmented polishes like I like them to be and non-toxic is a plus. I wish the bottles we're bigger but it's a nice looking set. Lord knows I would NEED way more topcoat on my lengthy nails😐. Your nails are looking beautiful as always. Thanks for sharing nail twin πŸ˜πŸ’…

  37. The Nailpolishbottle says:

It is so soothing to see you apply polish!😍 And I have to say, I hate that top coatπŸ˜…

  38. Cupcake Menace says:

Girl my topcoat had been doing this w while ago. Think it's got something to do with the polish, your nails and hands and the air being cold. Also I was gonna buy this pallet but for 45 dollars and they're all samples size nah. I'm glad you reviewed it.

  39. Crazy World Of Christina says:

I agree with what you said, the bottles are a little too small for the price .

  40. Debra Jean says:

I noticed my Essie good to go top coat doing the same thing before. Especially if I would run my freshly painted nails under cold water. It seems the cold makes it have a foggy looking finish. So for your nails I’m assuming the nail beds were warm and the tips were colder thus causing the foggy finish.

  41. Joe Pepi says:

    Wow your nails look fabulous!

  42. DOM Morton says:

Cut ur nails to match da other hand
