Spanish Tuna Vegetable Bake – Pastel de Atun y Verdudas Recipe


Bienvenidos welcome to Spain on a Fork now we´ve made a lot of great dishes here in the Spain on a Fork kitchen and today we´re making another classic dish a Spanish Tuna Vegetable Bake known as Pastel de Atun y Verdudas here in Spain this tuna bake uses very simple ingredients and it´s easy to make it´s naturally gluten free and it´s low carb yet it has this beautiful texture and flavor to it you guys are really gonna love this now to make this tuna bake even better I´m gonna be using some Kiva sweet smoked Spanish paprika my people this is gonna take this tuna bake to the next level in greatness adding another layer of flavor and a beautiful smokiness to it you´ll find a link in the description box below where you can buy this amazing paprika directly from Kiva alright let´s get cooking grab 1 large zucchini and thinly slice it crack 2 large organic eggs into a bowl and whisk until light and frothy grab 2 cans of Spanish tuna add the tuna to sieve and mix to release all the oil from the tuna grab 1 can of diced tomatoes and add to a small pitcher drizzle some extra virgin olive oil to a casserole dish and evenly brush it around add 1/2 of the sliced zucchinis in a single layer season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper add 1/2 of the diced tomatoes and evenly spread around add 1/2 of the tuna and evenly spread around evenly spread 1/2 of the whisked eggs add another layer of the sliced zucchinis season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper add the remainder of the diced tomatoes and evenly spread around add the rest of tuna and evenly spread around evenly spread the rest of the whisked eggs grab a block of Manchego cheese and finely shred in about 1 cup sprinkle with some dried oregano grab some Kiva sweet smoked Spanish paprika and sprinkle a generous pour all over cover with foil paper and add to a preheated oven bake+broil 210 C – 410 F after 25 minutes remove the foil hit it to 250 C – 480 F and cook for 10 more minutes cover with a dish cloth and let it rest for 5 minutes sprinkle with freshly chopped chives to serve ok guys our Spanish tuna vegetable bake is done I´m gonna cut off a piece and let you guys know how it turned out okay here we go…salud! so good it makes you wanna dance seriously though very simple ingredients but they all work so well together let me tell yeah that smoke paprika really just elevates the dish everything is perfectly cooked from the zucchini to that cheese is beautifully melted you guys saw it very easy to make done in about 45 minutes if you enjoyed today´s video hit that like button leave me a comment below and don´t forget to subscribe until the next time…Hasta Luego!!
